Your guide to the business of software development
Morgan continues to impress me with his calmness, integrity and technical depth.
Whether we are talking about development methodologies, technical implementations, orginisational management or client relationships I can trust Morgan to have a solid, well thought-through opinion.
He cares for those who work with him, no matter their position in the organisation, constantly putting other's needs before his own. When things get really sticky and difficult, I can trust Morgan to have a calm word and a knack for finding the root cause whether that be technical, human or a mad mixture of both.
I've worked with Morgan for almost 10 years now, first as a contractor to Praekelt, then as a front-end engineer, and then as his direct report in my role as Chief Engineer.
Morgan is firm but fair. As head of the department, there was always something to learn from Morgan in any situation. As my manager, Morgan steered me in the right direction, with kindness and integrity.
As for Morgan's technical ability, it would almost speak for itself if you knew him. He navigates well between extremely technical and translating that to business. He can be both tactical and strategic depending on what a situation needs.
